Meredith Trede

Overview

Meredith Trede is a consultant with a thorough grounding in theoretical and applied aspects of organizational change and development.  She has extensive technical experience in training needs assessment, program design and delivery, strategic planning, and process consultation.  She also has management experience in a Human Resources department.

Organization Development and Training

bulletConsulted and conducted skills training seminars at Westcom, a computer services provider, to create more ownership and empowerment among the company’s managers and direct employees.
bulletDesigned team leader and supervisory training at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley, and McCloy, Attorneys at Law, which was used to introduce a new system for supervision and work allocation among the support staff.
bulletConsulted and conducted skills training at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Sacramento Bee and Fresno Bee newspapers to design and implement performance management processes with unionized workforces.

Human Resources

bulletInstalled a performance management system, complete with job descriptions, standards of performance and job specifications, coordinating with a merit pay program at Russell Gibson von Dohlen, a large New England architectural firm.
bulletWrote the Leader's Guide and Participant's Notebook for American Management Association’s Fundamentals of Human Resources Management.  Trained course leaders and presented the week-long seminar internationally.
bulletDesigned and presented Managing the Human Resources Function for America’s Community Bankers.
bulletConsulted and trained with Catholic Relief Services, focusing on the development of the Human Resources Department, and the introduction of performance measurement programs for all departments.

Corporate Organization Development and Training

bulletManaged the staff responsible for international training needs assessment, delivery and implementation at Ebasco Services, an engineering consulting firm specializing in electrical power generation.
bulletFacilitated cross-cultural team building in Spanish for a third-world high technology construction project.
bulletConsulted to newly formed marketing teams composed of managers and engineers—facilitating teambuilding and presentation skills workshops which featured self-evaluation and videotape feedback.
bulletConducted management and supervisory training covering a full range of topics including performance appraisal, career development, interviewing skills, EEO requirements and effective time management.
bulletFunctioned as the liaison between Information Services and external consultants in structuring the data base for an internal organizational diagnosis for 6000 employees located around the world.
bulletDeveloped a corporate job rotation system and contributed to the creation of the company’s manpower planning model.

Background

Before her career with Ebasco, Meredith was a Field Advisor for the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, coordinating the activities of adult volunteers.  She also taught French and Spanish.

Brad Kenyon

Overview

Brad is a consultant with broad practical work experience as a technician, supervisor, and manager—in both line and staff functions.  The common theme in his work is the use of influence, rather than authority or pressure, as a means to create consensus and cooperation.

Organization Development and Executive Coaching

bulletFacilitated team building projects in support of integrating new business teams, management transitions, mergers, conflict mediation, new business start-ups, and organizational renewal.  Client companies include bio-technology, communications, publishing and financial services.
bulletProvided Executive coaching related to management styles, leadership philosophy and practices, personal vision and mission, and stakeholder/ community relations.  Clients have included CEO's, Corporate Officers, Staff and Client Relationship Managers.

Leadership and Management Development

bulletConducted leadership training seminars for Union Carbide and Praxair Industrial Gases that grew out of corporate-wide quality efforts focused on cultural change. These workshops, presented to both U.S. and International managers, emphasized individual empowerment and collaborative work redesign.
bulletDesigned and delivered Senior management training at General Electric Capital geared to facilitate change to new business strategies after a major divisional reorganization.
bulletCustomized a series of modular management development workshops for managers at Zurich Kemper Financial Services where rapid growth had led to many promotions into management positions without formal preparation.
bulletDesigned and delivered performance appraisal training for Illinois Power Company as an integral part of a company-wide upgrading of the performance planning and review process.

New Business Development and Customer Relations Management

bulletParticipated as outside faculty, trained trainers and designed courses for Union Carbide's Personnel Development Lab, an institute focused on industrial sales and negotiation, and sales management . His most recent course design is In-Depth Selling, an advanced program for senior sales professionals involved in long-cycle selling at complex business accounts.
bulletConducted a customized new business development training process for members of the Executive staff at DST Systems, a high technology service company, which included joint marketing calls, individual critiques, written reports and group workshops.
bulletDesigned and delivered a 5-day experience-based seminar for DST, titled Managing Client Expectations, which has been presented internationally. The workshop focuses on increased responsiveness to clients, combined with a more careful allocation of support resources.

Background

Before forming Kenyon-Trede in 1980, Brad was Manager of Employee Development for American Management Association, and Training Coordinator and Organization Development Consultant for Olin Corporation.
